Honey Sensory Workshop

The UC Davis Honey and Pollination Center is offering a one-day online opportunity-- to be completely immersed in the complex world of honey at an academic level. Anyone who is interested in learning how to critically taste and assess honey is invited to attend. Using standard sensory techniques, packers, chefs, beekeepers, writers, food manufacturers, honey aficionados will learn about the nuances of varietal honey. Attendees will receive a UC Davis Honey Flavor Wheel and our newly published Honey Journal in addition to access to all presentations.

How does this work?

This is a sensory experience course where everyone will taste and discuss honeys. Private link will be sent to you prior to attending the course.

An optional discounted tasting package can be purchased, supplementary to the workshop. More information on how to purchase will be available soon. The tasting package includes:

  • 7 unique mystery varietal honeys from all over the world (3 oz each)

  • 1 UC Davis Honey Aroma and Flavor Wheel

  • 1 UC Davis Honey Journal
