The Indiana State Beekeepers Association and the faculty of the Young Harris-UGA Beekeeping Institute will be offering the Introductory Training for the Welsh Honey Judge program. This class will cover: the history of honey shows, the value of honey shows, an explanation of the Welsh program requirements, an overview of how to organize a honey show, the staff/officials necessary to run a honey show (and their respective roles/duties), the tools necessary for judging exhibits, professionalism & ethics, and the methodology & techniques to properly judge honey, beeswax, and other hive products.
